Seminar: Musical Influences between France and the Nordic Countries

The speaker for the evening will be Helena Tyrväinen, a musicologist from the University of Helsinki.

During the seminar, Tyrväinen will present her book Notes in the Snow: Musical Relations Between France and the Nordic Countries, 1900–1939. She will take on a journey through the musical history of France, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Estonia. 

Tyrväinen will also share insights into the book’s writing process in collaboration with her French editor, Étienne Jardin.
