The graphic art exhibition Pilgrim Scholar – Alexander Csoma de Kőrös (1784–1842) describes the travels of explorer and philologist Sándor Kőrösi Csoma in the Far East.
The graphic exhibition depicts the journeys of explorer and philologist Sándor Kőrösi Csoma to Asia.
The exhibition was commissioned by the Sándor Kőrösi Csoma Memorial Committee to mark the 200th anniversary of the scientist’s birth in 1984.
The skilfully executed graphic works are created using a variety of techniques, including heliogravure, hand-inking and gravure.
The artists are Márta Hegyi, György Kacsán, József Wieszt, Zoltán Kemény and Antal Hegyi. The publisher of the exhibition is Dr József Terjék, Secretary of the Memorial Committee. The exhibition is curated by Éva Rubovszky.
