The irresistible sounds of a Latin band based in Helsinki! With talented members featuring: Leandro Roco on vocals and guitar, Milver Colmenares on drums and percussion, Daniel Olguín on vocals and a range of traditional instruments, Damiano Mariotti on bass, and Marcos Barilatti on electric and acoustic guitar, With their captivating blend of Latin rhythms and jazz influences, this band will transport audiences straight to the vibrant streets of South America. From the pulsating beats of salsa and cumbia to the soulful sounds of Latin rock and jazz, Pimienta Negra covers the complete spectrum of the Latin music scene.

Rafa Postel (US), Hector Lepe (MX), Tuomo Purhonen (FI), and Kasper Halttunen met as colleagues at the Sibelius Academy. They share an open-minded, improvisational approach, a deep love of the jazz tradition, as well as experience in and curiosity about other genres, which results in fresh and engaging music. These musicians have a joyful time making music together. This special concert will include original compositions as well as some old favorite songs.

Global Club Nights aims to create a safe, inclusive and creative environment and build bridges between all music lovers and their communities. Global Club Nights has been produced in cooperation with the Sibelius Academy’s Global Music Department and Kanneltalo.
