Purebred

Purebred is a psychological monodrama about a person trying to find themselves beneath everything that life, trauma, and the world around them have left behind. 

The performance explores addiction, depression, social pressure, the objectification of women, and the identities and expectations imposed upon people. 

At its core lies a question: what remains of a person when they begin to strip away everything they have been told to be?

Purebred combines physical theatre, text, movement, and a ritualistic stage language. Through body and word, the performance moves through the spaces between memory, love, loneliness, destruction, and reconstruction. 

It does not seek to offer ready-made answers, but invites the audience to confront their own inner experience.
