Kaikukatu 4, 00530 Helsinki

Chrysa Panagiotopoulou is a singer based in Helsinki. Born and raised in Greece, Chrysa has always been deeply connected to her cultural heritage.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Global Music from the Sibelius Academy, University of the Arts of Helsinki, and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics from the University of Patras. She balances her career in the aviation industry while having an active presence in Helsinki’s global and ethno music scene.

“My passion is performing. Some of my projects are fueled by my need for artistic expression but my greatest joy is performing and witnessing the power of music to bring people together. This is why transcultural projects that bring together my musical heritage and my voice with elements from other musical traditions but also projects that focus on preserving and celebration the Rebetiko music tradition are so important to me. The melodies and the stories behind the songs have a lasting impression but at the end of the day nothing compares to a euphoric night of dancing that elevates your spirit. It’s absolutely magical to be able to offer that to the audience.”
