Riekko Salama’s performances have been described as primal events shaking up the body in an unadulterated rock show.

The new Helsinki-based group consisting of musicians from Tampere play pastel-coloured rock. Electric guitars, big melodic choruses and perceptive lyrics are ingrained in Riekko Salama’s DNA.

The band’s debut single released in spring 2024, Kesänmurha, took over local radio playlists and won the hearts of the participants in the show ‘Levylautakunta’ on Yle. The song was played more then one hundred times on five different radio stations over the summer.

The group want to spread positive energy around, leaving audiences at their shows with a pastel-coloured imprint on their otherwise grey daily lives.
