Legendary singer-songwriter Alejandro Escovedo will finally visit Finland! Escovedo, who has been making music for over four decades, uniquely combines rock music, Americana and country music with his Mexican roots – and now you can hear the legendary storyteller live as part of the concert series Savoy & Sound Tracker Presents!

Escovedo began his career in the punk scene of the 1970s and is one of the few artists who can naturally combine intimate folk ballads, jagged rock songs and culturally charged stories into a single, recognisable style. He has collaborated with names such as Bruce Springsteen, R.E.M.’s Peter Buck and the roots legend Lucinda Williams.

In his concert at the Savoy Theatre, Escovedo will perform both solo and with Sami Yaffa’s ensemble of top Finnish musicians.

The concert series that started in spring 2025 will continue this autumn with a concert by Alejandro Escovedo. The content of the concert series is curated by musician Sami Yaffa. “The essence of the concert series is kind of the same as in the Sound Tracker programmes on TV. I hope that the concert will surprise the listener, open a musical door directly to nirvana and give the listener an unforgettable experience,” Yaffa says.

Concert duration approx. 2.5 hours, including intermission

The stalls form a designated alcohol serving area for adults age 18 and older. The balcony is for people of all ages, no alcohol serving.
