The Savoy Theatre’s new Sound Tracker concert series will be opened by the amazing Argentine singer and multi-instrumentalist Mel Muñiz.

Muñiz is known for her diverse musical style, ranging from jazz and swing to Latin rhythms such as bolero, bachata and son. An artist very popular in her home country is coming to Finland for the first time.

In addition to her instrument, singing, Mel is a prolific songwriter, who is particularly fascinated by symbolic language, mysticism through dance, and the interaction between light and shadow. Her successful solo debut album Aguerrida (2020) has gathered millions of listens on various streaming services.

In addition to her solo career, Muñiz has been involved in numerous well-known bands such as La Familia de Ukeleles, Bourbon Sweethearts and Las Taradas. She also actively takes up social grievances in Latin America. In Savoy, Muñiz will perform together with her Argentine-Spanish quintet, whose line-up includes, in addition to singing, also guitars, percussion, trumpet and double bass, among others. The atmosphere is guaranteed!
