Vid Šketa Quartet members represent the young generation of jazz musicians. 

They play music in a style of hardbop jazz, with a broad repertoire consisting of jazz classics and their originals. 

Leading the group, Vid Šketa on trumpet, is a young up-and-coming trumpet player from Slovenia. He has been performing around Europe, mainly in Finland, France in Slovenia. 

On the piano there is, already firmly established around the world, Riitta Paakki, a well-known Finnish master of piano. She leads and has recorded with her own group as well. Riitta always brings new and old colours to the music and combines them, emerging a pleasant sound rainbow. 

The Saastamoinen rhythm section is as swinging as it gets. On the bass, Mikael Saastamoinen, is one of the most versatile and virtuostic bass players, also known by his artist name, Perussastamala. A member of countless groups in Europe, always bringing a good base to the band’s sound. 

Okko Saastamoinen on drums will have you pat your feet and clap your hands, as he is one of the hardest swinging drummers of the younger generation. A Haapavesi native drummer can be seen all around the Finnish music scene, also as a leader of his own group OK:KO.
