The Landscape Tells
Apr 29 – May 17, 2025
Pohjoinen Rautatiekatu 17, 00100 Helsinki
Landscape is not as unambiguous a thing as one might suddenly think. As a word, it is strongly nature-oriented, highlighting the diverse, beautiful planet with its inhabitants and phenomena.
Human history, both culturally and concretely, produces its own, constantly changing landscape. However, the landscape is also in many ways a very imaginary and personal world.
In fact, people live in various invisible landscapes at every moment, such as landscapes of sound, light, colour, and emotion. The inner world also forms a kind of landscape, which opens windows for both to oneselves and to the environment.
The exhibition The Landscape invites to the “gallery landscape” to look at the world with open senses.
