‘Vastamyrkky’ are an eight-piece group playing what they describe as ‘punk-samba’. Their first album, Vastamyrkky, was released in January.

The band’s music is inspired by Brazilian samba music, in particular, but they approach it from the perspective of Finnish culture and uncompromising punk aesthetics. This results in music that will make your feet move to the rhythm while hammering in the message about what unites our cultures.

The band aim at challenging the audience with unique combinations of influences and enchanting them with a mix of music and raw emotion. Come along and prepare to be surprised!
