Pori-born Viia fills the Espa Stage with melancholic pop music, big emotions and a band composed of her musician friends.

Viia Koivula, originally from Pori, is a 29-year-old singer and songwriter. Viia has been writing her own music for about eight years, and has been releasing songs in streaming services since 2020.

Viia plays pop music in English, greatly inspired by names such as Florence + the Machine and Sia.

Her songs deal with themes such as painful experiences, love, melancholy and overcoming hardships.
Through her music, Viia hopes to project her words to her audience’s own life and foster a sense of belonging.

On Espa Stage, Viia will present a group of her beloved friends from the different stages of her music career. The band comprises colleagues from her days at the Turku Conservatorium, as well as more recent friends from her music studies at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.
