Cultural Centre Vuotalo welcomes the recently arrived international residents to Helsinki!

In this event new residents will get to know the services, hobbies and other leisure time activities available to them in their neighborhoods.

In addition to providing useful information, the Welcome Day program includes fun, inspiring and communal activities for people of all ages. The event culminates in an emotional concert by Venezuelan-Syrian artist Ramithawi.

We speak English at Welcome Day. Additionally, interpreters will be present at the event. The event is free to attend, but sign-ups are required. Advance registration will commence in August.

Traditional Finnish “pulla” (pastries) and coffee will also be served.

6.30 PM: Ramithawi

Ramithawi is a Venezuelan/Syrian singer-songwriter based in Helsinki and Tbilisi whose music is a hybrid of Latin American and Arabic elements. In this solo performance, he will share a repertoire of songs about love, past traumas, and war.
