Call the number by rotating the dial and you can listen to the life of a forest.

Call the number by rotating the dial and you can listen to the life of a forest.

How do the plants, animals, mushrooms and all the tiny organisms interact with each other without us ever noticing? In the built forest environment, you can spot mycelium made of optical fibre flashing in the soil or a sundew attracting bugs on the swamp, for example. The installation is by Berlin-based artist Kati Hyyppä. Key building materials of the forest elements, hung on the wall, are objects picked up from the street as well as outdated communication technology, such as landline phones and old mobile phone covers.
