ABSence: Whelming until it's over

ABSence-collective’s exhibition “Whelming until it’s over” studies excess and how it shapes human experience and social and natural ecologies.

The exhibition consists of multidisciplinary works that, for instance, blend digital affordances with various repurposed materials.

“Excess suddenly appeared as a principle organizing the world around us, from economic inequality to de-stabilized ecosystems and an experience of constant overwhelm. What would be abundance without excess?”

ABSence is a collaboration between artists Elias Langi and Daniel Palpa and researcher Laura Savolainen.
