Aesthetic Experience – movement in motion at the Design Museum exhibition
The dance performance is inspired by Vuokko and Antti Nurmesniemi’s artistic thinking, values and art exhibited at the Design Museum.
Ismo Dance Company’s dance performance is based on the exhibition objects, their shapes and colours. The choreography helps museum visitors find new perspectives on Nurmesniemis’ art. Based on free play, the choreography counts on the ability of dance to reveal something new and hitherto undiscovered. The performance is created with the dancers at the Design Museum in 25 hours using fast working methods. You are most welcome to see the result. The performance is accompanied by a live musician.
Please note: The museum's elevator is currently out of order, so there is no barrier-free access to the museum. The building and exhibitions can only be accessed by stairs. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Choreography, concept and director: Ismo-Pekka Heikinheimo
Dancers: Taru Aho, Tanja Illukka and Meri Pajunpää
Music: Moritz Cartheuser
