Bulevardi 27, 00180 Helsinki
Aleksanterin teatteri

This is a solo-performance by Anastasia Trizna based on the history of Alexander Theatre and life of Countess Amalie Adlerberg.

This is a solo-performance by Anastasia Trizna based on the history of Alexander Theatre and life of Countess Amalie Adlerberg. She was the wife of Count Nikolay Adlerberg, who was the founder of Alexander Theatre.

Countess was said to be one of the most beautiful women and she has thrilled the hearts of many remarkable men: Fyodor Tyutchev, Alexander Pushkin, Count Alexander von Benckendorff and even His Majesty Nicholas I of Russia himself.

In 1866–81 Amalie lived in Helsinki, together with her second husband Nikolay Adlerberg, during his service as a Governor-General of Finland. And those are the years when the Russian Theatre of Helsingfors was established and Alexander Theatre was built.

Alexander Theatre presents a performance that will give you a possibility to find out many interesting facts, legends and stories about the history of the theatre and life of the world famous couple. You will also have a chance to get to the furthest corners of the theatre, that are usually not open to public.
