Design Workshops for Families: Stripes

What does design look like? How does it feel? Where can you see stripes and their rhythms?

What does design look like? How does it feel? Where can you see stripes and their rhythms?

Design Workshops for Families inspire and guide children and their adults to make and experience design together. The workshops give ideas for observing your own environment and for your own creative work with design.

The Stripes Design Workshop takes its starting point from the main exhibition, where you get to know the versatile work of two designers, Antti and Vuokko Nurmesniemi. Together, the participants are inspired to look at familiar stripe patterns in a new way: where can you see stripes and their rhythms? In the workshop, the technique is sketching and various material experiments, which are tackled by researching, wondering and experimenting together.
