Eric Bergman & Romance celebrates the release of their new album. The opening act of the night is folkrock band Mutka Eric Bergman is a Finnish American singer-songwriter from Portland, Oregon, whose simple yet beautifully profound lyrics and melodies are touching and timeless.
The backing band – Romance – is formed by a creative Spanish-Finnish couple, Pau Ribas and Paula Kultanen Ribas, on drums, bass, keyboards, and vocal harmonies.
Eric Bergman & Romance’s music has been described as cinematographic and the most obvious influences are from Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave, The Violent Femmes, and the soundtracks of Aki Kaurismäki films.
The band was formed in Helsinki, Finland in 2019.
