The Belgian artist creates a new immersive installation, which invites the viewer to ponder the ordinary moments and the essential questions of being.
Hans Op de Beeck is known for his large-scale spatial installations and figurative sculptures capturing the freeze moments, but he moves in a variety of ways between different media. Today, his almost monochromatic body of work also includes paintings, animations, texts, drawings, photographs, videos, opera and theatre. The reflection of the complex society, as well as the universal questions of existence and mortality, are frequently recurring themes in his art.
Hans Op de Beeck lives and works in Brussels, Belgium. His works have been widely exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions around the world and now for the first time in Finland.
