Ecuadorian-Swiss duo Hermanos Gutiérrez is one of the hottest names in guitar-driven instrumental music in the world today. Since 2015, brothers Alejandro and Estevan Gutiérrez have been creating music that draws intriguingly on Latin American folk music of the 1950s, the desert blues of Texas and Mexico, and the cinematic landscapes of Ennio Morricone. Hermanos Gutiérrez’s songs also exude a comforting melancholy, familiar from traditional tango, that fits well with the Finnish soul.

Hermanos Gutiérrez’s minimalist approach to instrumental guitar music has been praised for the amazing way they create lyrical stories without singing. The guitar lines of the Gutiérrez brothers intertwine in such a way that, with closed eyes, it is difficult to distinguish where one begins and the other ends.

The duo’s sixth album, Sonido Cosmico, which will be released in June and sell out concert halls worldwide, is the much-anticipated follow-up to the Grammy-nominated El Bueno y el Malo. As before, the new album will be produced by one of the biggest names in American blues rock, Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys.
