Kansanradio

In Kansanradio, regular people get a platform to speak up their minds about topics that either bother or delight them.

Kansanradio opera is based on the rich material produced by the Finnish Broadcasting Company Yleisradio’s programme Kansanradio (“People’s Radio”) that has been running for over forty years. 

The opera brings together the art of puppetry and chamber opera. Kansanradio follows the format of a radio show but it also highlights the story of a 98-year-old Aili.
