Minna Linja: Anna sen viedä – Let it carry you

For Minna Lilja, painting is about contemplation, freedom, passion, and above all else, gratitude. With her colour palette, she wants to celebrate this very moment, the only one that exists right now.

The exhibited pieces are glimpses of a process that usually begins with a tiny little thought, feeling and request, emerging from within. The feeling and request start to emerge more and more often and more strongly. You may ask, how do I want to live, which goal do I want to aspire to? These are major questions, but truly necessary ones. When you make room for good things, they start to flood in. This tiny little shy request, could you get carried away with it?

Minna Linja is a painter born in Sodankylä (1978). Today, Linja lives and works in Tampere. She graduated as a Master of Arts from the University of Lapland in 2017. Linja mostly paints large-scale abstract and expressive paintings in oil.
