The Skolt Saami are a small minority group amongst the indigenous Saami.
The Skolt Saami are a small minority group amongst the indigenous Saami. Their language and culture are extremely endangered. Some estimate that there are only approximately 300 speakers of the language left and that there are approximately 600–700 Skolt Saamis living in Finland right now. On the Path of the Skolt Saami Life 2 -exhibition introduces visitors to the Skolt Saamis, a small minority group of the indigenous Saami from the east through photos and contemporary art.
Artists of the exhibition are Pertti Hissa, Sámi Hustler, Heidi Gauriloff, Tanja Sanila, Erja Wiltse, Mari Gauriloff, Tarja Sanila, Katariina Lumisalmi, Katja Sanila ja Anja Sollas.
