Kansanvalta is a documentary film about the young activist and poet Laura Eklund Nhaga and her growth towards her own kind of activism.
The film contemplates racialisation, the possibility of changing oppressive structures, and the role of activism. We follow Laura as she creates her art and travels to Chicago to meet local activists. If you want to make a difference, where should you start? The film was directed by Mervi Enqvist.
On the event day you can watch the film, hear the film's authors, and follow a discussion on the film's themes. During the day you can also take part in workshops that provide tools for your own activism.
