Pigs live among people like ghosts.

Pigs live among people like ghosts. There are millions of them, but people never see them alive. In the exhibition, the pigs become visible: they look at people from the walls and people look at them, as equals.

Oikeutta eläimille Association (Justice to Animals) brought the living conditions of pigs in public for the first time 15 years ago. The pictures showed that the Animal Welfare Act protects the farmer, not the pigs. So it's time to see if anything has changed before Christmas?

The photos in the exhibition were taken in Finnish pig farms between 2016 and 2022, without the owners' knowledge. This is the only way to show how pigs live behind closed doors.
