Tallari – Etno-Espa

Eteläesplanadi 1, 00130 Helsinki
Espa Stage

From their home at the cradle of pelimanni music, the Kaustinen-based folk music ensemble Tallari has kept the Finnish root music flame burning for 35 years, giving a new lease of life to archival treasures as well as creating new work. Tallari’s constantly evolving repertoire covers a wide range of Finnish folk music, with a focus in Western Finnish fiddle-based traditions, and includes evergreens from the Kaustinen region, the group’s own classics as well as new compositions.

Katri Haukilahti – violin, vocals, keyed fiddle
Sampo Korva – harmonium, guitar, accordian
Arto Järvelä – violin, vocals, esseharpa, mandolin
Esko Järvelä – violin, harmonium, tenor guitar
