The duet evening will again offer fascinating and surprising interpretations of tango. Featuring a fantastic line-up of cutting-edge dance artists

The TangoNyky duet evening, begun by Minna Tuovinen and Martin Heslop in 2018, will be organised for the fifth time this year.

The main focus of the evening will be on duets. Duets are a collaborative and creative art form in which two dancers work closely together to find a connection. Tango brings to the works a strong desire to listen, understand, communicate and find a new relationship with a partner and the music. The evening is an excellent opportunity for the audience to experience works created by top artists, where intensity, powerful presence and dynamic and multi-level communication are the main elements.

The commissioned works are choreographed and danced by Nina Hyvärinen, Jack Traylen, Annamari Keskinen, Ryan Mason, Samuli Emery, Sakari Kinnunen, Sofia Ruija and Alma Äijö. Mikko Helenius and the 15-piece Soul String string orchestra provided the music. The evening will also feature performances by the artistic directors and will end with a dance session between the audience and the orchestra, led by Minna and Martin.
