Seela Sella and Esko Roine: Love letters

Andrew and Melissa are childhood friends who keep in touch through the decades by writing letters.

They live their lives in their own way, build careers and relationships, become middle-aged and grow old. Sometimes one of them will suggest a meeting.

Love Letters is a play for two, now starring two of Finland’s most beloved actors, Seela Sella and Esko Roine. This play has been performed by many of the world’s most famous actors, including Elizabeth Taylor, Gerard Depardieu, Mia Farrow, Tom Hanks and Mel Gibson.

The nature of the play is that it is by no means to be memorised, but to be performed in the moment, in the here and now. There will be no pretty-pretty reminiscing or wistful nostalgia, but genuine, real-life correspondence, unadulterated and fun.
