Women Sculptors

In spring and summer 2027 Villa Gyllenberg will exhibit Finnish women sculptors from the 19th and early 20th centuries. 

Only a few works from female sculptors from this period can be found in Finnish museum collections, and the artists also lacked opportunities to leave their mark in the field of public art. The situation changed only after the Second World War.

The artists included in the exhibition are:

Divina Asp, Ida A Fielitz, Hilda Flodin, Sigrid af Forselles, Aline Forsman, Greta Godenius, Eva Gyldén, Helvi Hyvärinen, Ida Meller, Viivi Paarmio-Vallgren, Gerda Qvist, Essi Renvall, Auguste Rodin, Venny Soldan-Brofeldt, Gerda Sprinchorn and Marita Walldén.
