Sustainable Travel Finland
The Eastern Arcipelago Route is Helsinki’s only internal water transport route from mainland to mainland. During the trip, you will experience authentic island life, and once there, the nature experiences of Eastern Helsinki. The route takes you to parts of the Helsinki archipelago, where other public vessels rarely go. The trip includes a passage through the Degerö canal and the small islands of Kallahdenselkä. In Vuosaari, Aurinkolahti beach, Kallahdenniemi and Uutela Nature Park await you. From June to August, additional island stops will be added to the route, and the departure point will be moved to Meritullintori, near the Market Square. Two vessels operate simultaneously – one departing from the city center and the other from Vuosaari. The route will be: Meritullintori – Kalasatama – Herttoniemi – Laajasalo – Vartiosaari – Kotiluoto – Kivisaari – Satamasaari – Rantapuisto – Malkasaari – Iso Iiluoto – Leikosaari – Neitsytsaari – Vuosaari. The full cruise duration is approximately 3 hours.
In May and September, the Eastern Archipelago Route runs the following route: Kalasatama – Herttoniemi – Laajasalo – Vartiosaari – Satamasaari – Iso Iiluoto – Leikosaari – Vuosaari. The cruise duration is then approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Please note that Iso Iiluoto and Leikosaari are private islands, and permission is needed to visit.

You can buy tickets only on board by card or cash. The café serves snacks and drinks during the cruise. The ship has A-licenses.
