Theatre Museum’s exhibition “It’s Showtime” reveals the process behind performing arts: how works of theatre, dance, opera, circus, and performance art are created.
The guided tour examines how the different elements of a performance interact and work together. How do the theme, the director’s work, the performer’s craft, and visual design influence each other to create an emotionally engaging whole. What do the set, costumes, and venue tell us about the piece?
Finally, the group gets to experiment hands-on on the exhibition’s stage, exploring how light and sound affect a performance and its atmosphere.
