24 hours in Helsinki as Pamela Hyytiäinen

Just by listening to what you’ve shared publicly, we’ve noticed a few things you care about: nature, animals, calm mornings, plant-based food, creativity, and space to just be. Luckily, Helsinki happens to be full of places that match exactly that energy. Here’s what your day here could  look like.

8:00 AM A walk by the sea

Start the day by the water. Walk the shoreline at Hietaranta Beach or around Töölönlahti Bay. Helsinki mornings are calm, and the light is soft as a natural reset.

9:30 AM Vegan brunch, Nordic-style

Start your morning at Green Hippo in Punavuori. It’s a plant-based cafe, and a favourite of many Helsinkians known for its comfort food and laid-back atmosphere.

If you’re leaning towards a more slow morning, head to Vegalicious Pastry in nearby Ullanlinna neighbourhood. Open from 11 am, Vegalicious is a plant-based micro patisserie with savoury filled brioche on the salty side, plus plenty of baked treats like sweet buns, cookies and more.

11:00 AM Get to know your Finnish heritage

Visit the National Museum of Finland and wander through centuries of Finnish history, folk traditions and sisu. Afterwards, cross Senate Square, surrounded by neoclassical architecture that gives the city a quiet sense of belonging.

1:00 PM Art for inspiration

At Kiasma, Helsinki’s contemporary art museum, immerse yourself in works that challenge, comfort and provoke – much like the movie roles you’ve chosen in recent years.

2:30 PM Horses, fields and fresh air

Take a short trip out of the city centre to Haltiala Farm, where horses, sheep and open fields replace city noise. It’s a reminder of how close nature always is in Helsinki.

4:30 PM Tea, not coffee

Finns love coffee, but we know tea is more your thing. Stop by the cozy théhuone in Kamppi neighbourhood, a beautiful, calm tea house perfect for a slow afternoon moment.

5:30 PM Maybe not Yves Piaget, but close enough

Take a slow walk through Vallila Allotment Garden, where Helsinkians keep their own little gardens in the middle of the city. In season, roses bloom everywhere.

7:00 PM Dinner at Restaurant Pamela

Helsinki even has a restaurant named Pamela. Plant-based dishes are also on the menu, so it’s an easy pick for dinner.

9:00 PM  Sauna at Löyly

A proper Finnish sauna is the ultimate reset. We recommend the architectural wonder Löyly by the sea. Heat, steam and a cold dip calm the body and leave you glowing.

10:30 PM Sleep tight at Hotel Kämp

End the day at Hotel Kämp. Iconic, recently updated, and still a classic at heart.

Or, if it is summer…

You could also experience Helsinki white nights and stay up until dawn like the locals do (see photo!)
