The people’s musical market offers a wide range of sensations that excite the senses, including music, movement, sounds and smells. The Finnish Baroque Orchestra (FiBO), the main organiser of the event, is an internationally acclaimed professional ensemble which often happily collaborates with a wide range of artistic partners. The performers in the Baroque Market are both professionals and amateurs, and the age range extends from young children to adults. Most of the younger performers are from the Kaarela area (or live nearby).

The Market Master Vesa Purokuru manages the afternoon’s events with Louna Hosia, a regional cellist who continues the work of the local violist that Kaarela residents have gotten to know over the past couple of years. Kaarela residents can participate in the Kaarela Super Orchestra if they wish. Be sure to follow the Kaarela area’s social media accounts if you want more information about how you can participate already during the summer.

More detailed information regarding the event will be published in early autumn.
See you at the market!

The event is organized in collaboration with Kanneltalo.
