AVELA/LAINE: H(A)UNTING

H(A)UNTING explores how the past and unrealised futures remain present in the here and now. In the exhibition, sculpture, photography, media art and installation are combined with locally found materials, directing attention to the seen, imagined and vanishing aspects of urban space.

In their works, AVELA/LAINE examines temporality, space and place through historical layers, invisible structures and traces. Their process-based and experimental practice often builds on site-specific materials and embodied experience.

Anette Avela is a visual artist and architect, and Ionas Laine is a visual and performance artist.
