Children’s Museum Festival 2026 celebrates a whole family birthday weekend in joyful birthday spirit. Leikki – the Museum of Play turns 30 this year, as its story began in 1996 as the Toy and Play Museum at Linnanmäki.

At the same time, Exhibition Centre WeeGee and its museums celebrate their 20th anniversary!

This year’s festival weekend is all about joyful and surprising birthday fun. What if we pretended that it’s everyone’s birthday during the festival weekend? Expect a family weekend full of shared joy and unforgettable experiences with music, circus tricks, and lively workshop stations.

The festival programme extends beyond the museums to the Espoo School of Art and outdoors, where you can try hobbyhorse riding or borrow books from Espoo City Library’s experience bus Välkky.
