Fairytales and imagination Children’s and young people’s art in the Vuotalo gallery

The theme of the academic year – fairytales and imagination – has inspired the students of Helsinki Upper Secondary School of Visual Arts to create images, animations and sculptures that bring to life the thinking and imagination of children and young people. The worlds of fairytales and stories focus on the secrets of the mind, creativity and play. The world of fairytales and fantasy provides adventures for all ages.

The exhibition also features independent final works by nearly thirty young people who have been studying at the School of Visual Arts for several years. The works focus on themes that interested and were selected by the young people themselves. The exhibition will feature works such as drawings, paintings and ceramics, as well as portfolios that document the final work process and provide more in-depth information on the subject.
