Árru Film Screening and Panel Discussion

Árru, screened at the Love & Anarchy festival, explores the growing land exploitation in Sápmi through the lens of a complex family history.
The post-screening panel discussion will delve deeper into the film’s themes, with a particular focus on intimate harm and violence, Indigenous rights, and transitional justice.
The panel discussion will feature Elle Sofe Sara, Director of Árru, Aarni Pieski, Sámi playwright, screenwriter and dramaturg, and Daniela Alaattinoğlu, Associate Professor of Law at the University of Turku.
The discussion will be hosted by journalist Tuukka Tuomasjukka and will be held in English.
