Hungarian Wedding (Magyar menyegző, 2025, directed by Csaba Káel) – a stunning new film celebrating the power of music, dance, and love, exploring the rich wedding traditions of Transylvania. English subtitles.

 

13.8. at 18.00 Gallery U: Exhibition Opening  “Tradition Tailored to Life – Hungarian Folk Costumes”

This exhibition presents the unique beauty of Hungarian folk costumes, renowned for their rich colours, intricate designs, and remarkable craftsmanship. Alongside the garments and their accessories, it offers a glimpse into the rural peasant culture of the 18th and 19th centuries. The selection has been drawn from the costume collection of the Forgatós Folk Dance Ensemble.

 

14.8. at 18.00 Liszt Institute: Dance House

Come and learn Hungarian folk dances under the guidance of the Forgatós Folk Dance Ensemble! No previous dance experience is required.
