Tsuumi Dance Theatre and KokoTeatteri: International Dance Day Celebration 

International Dance Day (29.4.) is an annual celebration of dance. Now Tsuumi Dance Theatre  and KokoTeatteri invite you to celebrate International Dance Day at KokoTeatteri. Expect a festive atmosphere, interesting performances, and a celebration of dance!

The event will feature excerpts from the repertoires of Dance Theatre Tsuumi and KokoTeatteri. The performances and performers to be featured at the celebration will be revealed later!

Tsuumi Dance Theatre is a Helsinki-based dance theater company with strong roots in folk tradition that loves roughness and humanity and draws its strength from archaic roots. Tsuumi Dance Theatre creates diverse performing arts with an emphasis on the synthesis of dance and music, movement and rhythm. 

A special part of Tsuumi Dance Theatre’s activities has always been its strong collaboration with Finnish new folk music artists. Tsuumi is rooted in Finnishness, tradition, and knowledge of the history, but always with an eye toward new and vibrant artistic work and experimentation. 

During its 25-year history, Tsuumi Dance Theatre has produced around seventy different full-length dance and theatre works.
