Kissa is the hottest live band in the universe. They are defiant energy, dazzling lights, and ear-blasting escapism.

Proof of this can be found in the history books: the sweaty, completely packed Black Tent at Flow Festival, a sold-out Tavastia, and a euphoric audience record at Naamat Festival. Ask anyone – a good party is guaranteed. The lineup is constantly evolving, and at its biggest, the stage has featured a 14-piece big band alongside the core lineup. You never know what’s going to happen.

With the release of their album I Hate Music in early 2026, the band is at the peak of their career. Their debut album Vaarallinen bändi, released in June 2021, made an immediate impact and climbed to number 7 on Finland’s official physical album chart. Ever since, people have been whispering about Kissa possibly being the best rock band in Finland right now.

Their follow-up, Näkemiin Apinalinna (2023), climbed even higher, reaching number 3. The album was also deservedly nominated for Rock Album of the Year at the 2023 Emma Gala. All of the band’s releases have received plenty of enthusiastic reviews and praise.

Kissa was nominated for Band of the Year and Newcomer of the Year at the 2022 Indie Awards. The band also won Rock Femma of the Year at the 2022 Femma Gala.

Their journey has also included appearances on Yle’s Henkilökuva, a cover story in the Helsingin Sanomat Culture Supplement, and being featured as Radio Helsinki’s Album of the Week.
