Réka Peurala: Not Just For The Eye

When people think of fine art photography, they rarely envision marketing tools. Marketing photos created for advertising, packaging, and menus are often evaluated by how efficiently they support sales, rather than their artistic value. 

This exhibition sheds new light on that established practice. The twelve photographs presented here were originally created within the world of commercial photography. 

Together, they formed the panel that was awarded the Qualified European Photographer (QEP) title. Now presented in a gallery setting, they invite you to consider a simple question: can a commercial photograph also be a work of art?

Reka Peurala is an award-winning photographer, creative director, and stylist based in Finland. Through her work, she explores the space where commercial imagery, visual storytelling, and artistic expression intersect.
