SJO x HPC: Animals

At the spoken word event presented by Sointi Jazz Orchestra and Helsinki Poetry Connection, audiences will hear animal-themed texts performed by local residents and accompanied by a musician from Sointi Jazz Orchestra.

The programme includes curated performances by artists selected through an open call. There will also be an opportunity to inquire about performing on the day of the event. The texts will be accompanied by Oskari Siirtola.

Unleash your creativity and come perform your own text—or a favourite piece of writing—with live musical accompaniment!

You are welcome to present a text, song, or other performance in any language. To ensure that as many participants as possible have the opportunity to perform, each performance is limited to six minutes.

The event will be hosted by experienced spoken word artist Jussi Kiova of Helsinki Poetry Connection.
