Susanna Leinonen Company: Head x Space

Choreographer Susanna Leinonen’s new work Head x Space receives its world premiere as the culmination of the company’s 25th anniversary year. In Head x Space, Leinonen returns to the stage as one of the dancers.

A physical manifesto and a cry for help, Head x Space confronts an age of visual overload, as people are exposed to more new information than ever before.

Head x Space reveals that this overdose does not simply remain as bits in the air. Its effects manifest in our bodies: in faster breathing, tense muscles and a lack of touch.

Susanna Leinonen Company is an internationally acclaimed contemporary dance company founded in 2001.

Known for its visually striking and emotionally evocative works, the company has toured in 30 countries, performing at numerous major festivals and theatres.
