The Spring Dance Day in Helsinki

A vibrant folk dance event showcasing the beauty of traditional costumes. Come and enjoy energetic performances, live folk music, and join the dance yourself!

Eesti Rahvatantsijad Helsingis ry: folk dance groups ”Ülelahedad” and ”Lahepere” are organizing the fifth annual Spring Dance Day in Helsinki.

The performances and communal dances will feature folk dances from both sides of the Gulf of Finland – including traditional dances as well as those collected, arranged, and created by Anna Raudkats. The performers include Estonian, Latvian, and Finnish folk dance groups based in Finland, as well as guest groups from Estonia and Norway.

Spectators will have the chance to learn dance steps and participate in the dances. The festive atmosphere will be kept alive by folk musician Piret Aus and the Karmoškakamraadid.

Eesti pered Soomes ry will host a children’s corner with crafts, word games, and a wheel of fortune for the whole family.
