Black History Month X Tiivistämö

The U.S. Embassy in Finland, in collaboration with the City of Helsinki and American Film Showcase, has the pleasure of
inviting everyone to an evening in honor of Black History Month, celebrated annually in February

In addition to two short films, the event also includes an art exhibition and live painting by American artist Antoine King.
There will be light refreshments and music by DJ J Boogie.

Synopsis: A virtuoso jazz pianist and film composer tracks his family’s lineage through his 91-year-old grandfather from Jim Crow Florida to the Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Synopsis: Otito is a deeply personal film about the inspiring musician, snny, and his journey back to the Ivory Coast for the first time in nearly 20 years.
