Café Lähde
Lapinlahdenpolku 8, 00101 Helsinki
The atmospheric Café Lähde is located in the former hospital building of Lapinlahti by the sea. The hospital, designed by C. L. Engel and built in 1841, along with its surrounding gardens, offers a unique setting to enjoy a coffee break.
The café serves delicious vegan and gluten-free lunch soups daily. In addition, the menu includes sandwiches, savory pies, and a variety of freshly baked treats. A large portion of the products are both vegan and gluten-free. The café also offers catering services.
Café Lähde is part of Lapinlahden Lähde, the centre for culture and well-being. The café provides employment opportunities, for example, for people recovering from mental health issues. At Lapinlahden Lähde, you can also visit the Lähde sauna, rotating art exhibitions, and the Mental Museum Lapinlahden Lähde, which tells the story of the hospital’s history.
Dogs are also always welcome in the café.
