Halva Ltd is a Finnish family-owned company run by the 3rd generation, established in 1931. The factory is located in Helsinki and the office/warehouse is in Vantaa, Finland. The company produces and sells a wide assortment of soft eating licorice and other sugar confectionery products. The majority of the company´s licorice output is worldwide exported. All the processes are BRC and ISO certified. Halva is among the leading licorice producers in Europe and makes best licorice in the world.
Halva invests in sustainable development by reducing emissions, using more environmentally friendly packaging materials and improving waste recycling by: Halva increases the efficiency of plastic use by increasing the use of recyclable plastic. Halva will reduce the use of traditional plastics by switching to wood-based, carbon-neutral materials. Production by-products are made into feed for farmed animals.
Halva has taken a number of significant measures to reduce the carbon footprint of our energy consumption: It only use 100% renewable electricity and only use 100 % renewable district heating.
The goal is that by the end of year 2025, the business will be completely carbon neutral. Through the sustainable and responsible work, the world’s best licorice is produced in Finland by Halva.
