Lapuan Kankurit is a Finnish linen and wool weaving mill, with its roots reaching all the way back to 1917. The company weaves spa and sauna textiles as well as table and interior textiles from nature’s own materials – responsibly, and with respect for the environment.
Lapuan Kankurit weaves Finnish design, inspired by their home country’s pure and rugged nature. To balance out the chilling climate of the North, they weave heaps of warmth and softness into their textiles.
Lapuan Kankurit is continuously developing new textile innovations and techniques. As the forerunners of the industry, they bear the responsibility of passing on the skills and knowledge of weaving to the future generations, weaving a better future for all.
The Lapuan Kankurit Store & Studio displays a wide range of kitchen, bath, sauna and interior textiles as well as wool blankets and is located in the Tori Quarter, a unique empire style centre at the heart of Helsinki between the Helsinki Cathedral and Market Square, just fifteen minutes from the Central Railway Station and other major landmarks.
