Railway Square

The Railway Square is an open square by the Helsinki Railway Station. The buildings around the square include eg. Ateneum – The Finnish Nation Gallery, the Finnish National Theatre and Casino Helsinki. The Aleksis Kivi statue (1939, Wäinö Aaltonen) is located in the center.
During winter season there is a skating rink, and the square is also a location for many events.
The Railway Square is the end stop for several bus lines in Helsinki region.
